Brazil’s Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) acquired former Varig Boeing 707-320C airliners in the mid-1980s and converted them into KC-137 tanker-transports. They were fitted with hose-and-drogue refuelling pods and flown by the 2º/2º Grupo de Transporte at Galeão, Rio de Janeiro. The KC-137s refuelled the FAB’s fighters, carried troops and cargo, supported Brazilian peacekeeping missions abroad, and also flew government and VIP transport. They served for more than 25 years before being retired in the 2010s. This InFlight200 replica depicts KC-137 serial 2401 in the FAB’s white transport livery, with a dark blue cheatline and a green and yellow Brazilian tail flash.
