Varig was Brazil’s flag carrier and one of Latin America’s great airlines. It was founded in 1927 and flew to South America, North America, Europe, Africa and Asia until it collapsed in 2006. In the mid-1980s Varig introduced the Boeing 767-200ER (Extended Range) on medium and long-haul routes. Its range and twin-engine economy suited Varig’s growing international network. This InFlight200 replica depicts PP-VNN in Varig’s classic livery, with the blue cheatline, the Icarus emblem on the nose and the famous blue compass rose star on the tail. The “P” in the item number marks the polished version, with a bare-metal lower fuselage.
