Vlad's Tomb King on Necrolith Bone Dragon Paint Guide - Build Feature
Vlad's Tomb King on Necrolith Bone Dragon
Warhammer: The Old World - Tomb Kings of Khemri - Full Paint Guide
You may know Vlad from his Kravek Morne and his Fellgor Ravagers beastmen we have on display in store. Today he brought in this absolute beautiful beast and we had to get his full palette so people can follow along and get some inspiration for a large model like this.
Vlad is a big fan of the Tomb Kings and this was a model he had his eyes on for a long time before finally getting around to it. 31 total working hours later he brought it in. All we have to say is: wow.
This was a very drawn-out process and his exact order of operations were cloudy, but he gave us the full palette he used. He followed the box art scheme - while Games Workshop didn't provide exact paint callouts, he figured it out and knocked it out of the park in execution and accuracy. More from him soon.

Dragon Bone and Skeleton
The bone recipe centres on the custom Tomb Bone Wash - a diluted Skeleton Horde contrast mix that tints and shades the bone without going too heavy. Built over a neutral/flesh-toned primer base and layered up through Ushabti Bone and Screaming Skull, with Agrax and Seraphim Sepia washes adding warmth and depth into the recesses.
