Preowned, Original seal, Mint

The Handley Page Hampden joined RAF Bomber Command in 1938 and formed part of its early war front line alongside the Wellington and Whitley, taking part in the first RAF raid on Berlin in August 1940. Its cramped three foot wide fuselage earned it the nickname Flying Suitcase, though crews rated it surprisingly nimble for a medium bomber. Later examples served as torpedo bombers with Coastal Command, including RCAF squadrons. This is the vintage Series 4 boxing of Airfix's long running 1/72 tooling, made in England with Roy Cross box art.
