Vallejo Model Air — Seaplane Grey

RAF/FAA Seaplane Grey (approx. FS 36440 / FS 36357 range) — light grey used primarily on naval and floatplane undersides and maritime aircraft, approx. 1930s–1945. Applied to: Supermarine Walrus, Supermarine Sea Otter, Short Sunderland Mk.I–V, Consolidated Catalina (RAF service), Fairey Swordfish Mk.I/II/III (early schemes), Fairey Albacore, Blackburn Skua, Blackburn Roc, Fairey Fulmar Mk.I/II, Supermarine Seafox. Also seen on coastal reconnaissance variants of Bristol Beaufort and Beaufighter. Used in Battle of the Atlantic (1939–45), Mediterranean naval operations, Arctic convoy escort missions, and amphibious reconnaissance roles.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
