Vallejo Model Air — AMT-4 Camouflage Green

Subject: Aircraft

Soviet AMT-4 — standard dark green upper surface 1941–1945. Il-2 Shturmovik (all variants), Pe-2 Peshka, Yak-1/7/9, LaGG-3, La-5, La-7. The most widely used VVS upper surface colour throughout the war, often applied alongside AMT-6 black.

Weathering & modulation: Highlight with VLJ71347 lightened with VLJ70879. Apply thinned VLJ70983 Flat Brown as filter on lower surfaces.

Scale colour note: At 1:72 lighten AMT-4 20%. Contrast with AMT-6 black stripes must remain visible.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
