Vallejo Model Air — USA Brown
Subject: Armour
US Brown (approx. FS 30117 / FS 30099 range) — general-purpose brown used in camouflage systems and field applications, approx. WWII–present. Applied to: WWII vehicles (M4 Sherman, M8 Greyhound, Halftracks — field camo), Vietnam-era M48 Patton, M113 APC, M551 Sheridan; modern use in CARC/NATO-style camo on M1 Abrams, Bradley, and HMMWV. Used in Northwest Europe (1944–45), Vietnam War (1965–75), and modern US/NATO operations.
Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
