TKM2135 - Takom - 1/35 Bergepanzer 2A2

The Takom 2135 1/35 Bergepanzer 2A2 is a detailed plastic model kit of the German armored recovery vehicle (ARV) based on the Leopard 1 main battle tank chassis. Developed for the Bundeswehr, the Bergepanzer 2 series was designed to recover damaged armored vehicles from the battlefield, perform field repairs, and support armored formations with heavy lifting and towing capability. The A2 variant represents an upgraded version with improved recovery equipment and enhanced hydraulic support systems, including modifications to handle heavier modern vehicles such as later Leopard variants and other NATO armor.

The real vehicle is equipped with a powerful winch system, hydraulic crane, dozer blade for stabilizing the vehicle during recovery operations, and crew protection comparable to the Leopard 1 MBT. It remains in service with German and other NATO forces in various upgraded forms.
