The Sukhoi Su-25 "Frogfoot" was a Soviet single-seat, twin-engine ground-attack aircraft that entered service in the early 1980s and saw its first combat in Afghanistan. Heavily armoured around the cockpit and built to absorb battle damage while loitering over the front line, it filled a close-support role broadly comparable to the American A-10. The type was widely exported and remains in service with numerous air arms today.

Injection-moulded kit by Tsukuda Hobby (Japan), older tooling, with decals dated 1989.
