The Porsche 962C was the definitive Group C works car of the mid-to-late 1980s, powered by the 3-litre flat-six twin-turbo 935/82 engine. In 1988 Porsche entered three 962Cs at Le Mans under the Shell/Dunlop livery, with chassis 962C-140 (#17) driven by Hans Stuck, Derek Bell, and Klaus Ludwig taking pole, setting the fastest lap, and finishing 2nd overall behind the winning Jaguar XJR-9. "New decals" rebox of Tamiya's original 962C tooling, released 2001. Sports Car Series No. 233.
