For 1996, the German DTM became the International Touring Car Championship (ITC), and Alfa Romeo fought for the manufacturers’ title right up to the final round. Under its silhouette body, the 155 V6 TI had a purpose-built 2.5-litre V6 mounted at the front, four-wheel drive, pushrod-operated double-wishbone suspension at all four corners and a rear diffuser. The cars were heavily modified, and only the outline of the road-going 155 remained. This Tamiya kit captures the silver Bosch-sponsored #19 car from the 1996 season. Its front cowl comes off to show the V6, air ducts and radiator.
