Zakspeed's Group 5 Ford Capri debuted in the 1978 DRM (German Racing Championship) with a turbocharged four-cylinder, extreme wide-body, and Mampe-sponsored black livery with red and yellow flashes. Hans Heyer drove the #52 car to its first victory at the Nürburgring in October 1978. Original new-tool release from Tamiya in 1979 as a motorized kit — motor hardware is included in this boxing. The 2024 reissue (24376) removes the motor and adds updated Cartograf decals.
