Chevrolet’s factory Corvette Racing program introduced the C5-R in 1999, building on the fifth-generation road car with a big-block V8 and full race aerodynamics. It quickly became one of the most successful GT cars of its era. Highlights include an overall win at the Daytona 24 Hours in 2001 and several GTS class wins at Le Mans. This Revell Pro Finish kit shows the #2 C5-R in GM Goodwrench Service Plus colours, with the silver and black checkered livery and the names of drivers Ron Fellows, John Paul Jr. and Chris Kneifel on the windscreen banner.
