Warhammer Colour Contrast (Citadel Contrast)

Warhammer Colour Contrast paints, formerly Citadel Contrast, are Games Workshop's one-coat acrylics. Applied over a light primer, a single coat flows into recesses and thins out over raised detail, giving you a basecoat and shading in one step.

Contrast works best over a pale undercoat such as Wraithbone or Grey Seer, and can be thinned with Contrast Medium for lighter tones or glazes. It is a fast way to get armies battle-ready, and pairs well with Layer paints for edge highlights. Each comes in an 18ml pot with its familiar Citadel colour name.
