Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The McLaren M8D was the factory works entry in the 1970 Can-Am season, driven by Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme for the dominant McLaren Cars team. Powered by a massively developed big-block Chevrolet V8, the M8D — nicknamed the "Batmobile" for its distinctive high rear wing — was the culmination of McLaren's Can-Am dominance, a run during which the team won five consecutive manufacturers' championships from 1967 to 1971. Bruce McLaren was killed testing the M8D at Goodwood in June 1970, just before the Can-Am season began; Denny Hulme went on to win the 1970 championship in the car.
