MON5303 - Monogram 1/48 Hawker Typhoon - WWWEB10113026

Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn

The Hawker Typhoon started out as an interceptor, but it found its true role as a low-level ground-attack aircraft. Its 24-cylinder Napier Sabre engine made it one of the fastest fighters at low altitude. Armed with four 20mm cannon and either bombs or eight RP-3 rockets, the “Tiffie” became the terror of German armour after D-Day, especially in the Falaise Pocket in August 1944. RAF and RCAF squadrons flew it across Northwest Europe, often wearing black and white invasion stripes. Monogram’s 1/48 kit is moulded in grey and includes the rocket rails.
