Description
MON2709 - Monogram 1/24 7-Eleven GTP - WWHP111894
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Ford Mustang GTP was a purpose-built IMSA GTP prototype developed by Zakspeed in collaboration with Ford Motorsport, bearing the Mustang name for marketing purposes despite sharing no mechanical relationship with the production car. Unusually for a prototype of its era, the car used a front-mounted 2.1-litre turbocharged Cosworth BDA four-cylinder engine producing around 600 horsepower. The 7-Eleven sponsored entry was raced by Klaus Ludwig and Bobby Rahal during the 1984 IMSA GT Championship season, with the programme ultimately replaced by the mid-engined Mustang Probe for 1985.
