The Bentley 4½ Litre "Blower" was Sir Henry "Tim" Birkin's supercharged answer to the Mercedes threat. It was built at Welwyn with financial backing from the Hon. Dorothy Paget. Two Blowers took the start at Le Mans in 1930, and they hounded Caracciola's Mercedes until it retired. Minichamps captures the #8 team car, UR 6571, in British Racing Green in their 1:18 die-cast series.
