The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet armoured ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War, built in enormous numbers and one of the most important Soviet types of the conflict. The Il-2m3 was the later two-seat version, adding a rear gunner and revised swept-back outer wing panels; it also served postwar with the Polish Air Force. This is the Polish ZTS Plastyk tooling, new in 1986, issued here under the Mikro 72 label and marked "Alternatywa Il-2," meaning it can be built as either the single-seat Il-2 or the two-seat Il-2m3.
