Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Boeing 737-300 was the first of the “Classic” 737 generation. It entered service in 1984 with the high-bypass CFM56 turbofan, mounted in nacelles with a distinctive flattened lower lip so the engines would clear the ground under the 737’s short undercarriage. The stretched -400 followed in 1988, and together the Classics helped make the 737 the best-selling jetliner of its era. This kit’s markings are for F-GFUF, a 737-300 that Air France flew with the “L’Aéropostale” titles. The name honours the pioneering French airmail company of the 1920s and 30s, and it was later used for Air France’s night mail and passenger operations. Canadian Airlines and WestJet also flew 737 Classics in large numbers.
