Description
MIN14464 - Minicraft 1/144 Boeing 737-400 Cayman Airlines - WWHP113295
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Boeing 737-400 was the largest of the Classic generation, stretching the 737-300 by a further three metres to seat up to 168 passengers. Powered by CFM56 turbofans and first delivered in 1988, it became a mainstay for carriers needing more capacity without moving up to a larger airframe. Cayman Airways, the national carrier of the Cayman Islands, flew the type from Grand Cayman to Miami, Kingston and other regional destinations through the 1990s and 2000s, wearing the clean white scheme with red and blue cheatlines and the Sir Turtle mascot on the fin. VR-CAB carried the older Cayman Islands registration prefix used before the switch to VP-C.
