Description
MATPK-35 - Matchbox 1/72 Curtiss SBC-4 - WWWEB10109212
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Curtiss SBC Helldiver was a two-seat scout and dive bomber, notable as the last combat biplane procured by the U.S. Navy. Delivered from 1937, the SBC-4 final version served aboard carriers such as Enterprise, Saratoga, and Yorktown before being replaced by the SBD Dauntless and was already obsolete by the time the U.S. entered WWII. A number were diverted abroad, with the RAF operating the type as the Cleveland. (Note: this is the original biplane Helldiver, not the later SB2C monoplane of the same name.)
