MATPK-107 - Matchbox 1/72 Dornier Skyservant - WWWEB10112592
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Dornier Do 28 D Skyservant was a twin-engine STOL utility aircraft with a boxy fuselage, high wing, and engines mounted on stub pylons at the fuselage sides, an unmistakable and deliberately unglamorous design built to get in and out of rough strips. A total of 121 Do 28D-2s were delivered to the Bundeswehr between 1971 and 1974, serving with the Luftwaffe and Marineflieger until the Do 228 replaced them in 1994. Others flew relief and medical missions worldwide, including the Swedish Red Cross flying doctor service in Biafra. This is the classic Matchbox 1/72 kit, moulded in three colours in the way the brand was known for.
