Description
ITA845 - Italeri 1/48 Kamov Ka-50 Hokum - WWWEB10101317
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
Kamov's Ka-50 was a radical answer to the attack helicopter requirement: a single-seat gunship with coaxial contra-rotating rotors that eliminated the tail rotor, and the first production helicopter fitted with an ejection seat, made possible by explosive bolts that shed the rotor blades before the K-37 seat fired. Given the NATO reporting name "Hokum," it carried a side-mounted 2A42 30mm cannon, Vikhr anti-tank missiles, and rocket pods on its stub wings. Italeri's 1996 new-tool kit captures the type in its early test and demonstration period.
- Tan plastic sprues with fuselage halves, stub wings, weapons pylons, engine nacelles and coaxial rotor head
- Clear sprue for canopy and glazing
- Waterslide decal sheet with markings for test helicopter yellow "015" (Tashkent, 1991) and the "Army Attack Helicopter" demonstration scheme (Farnborough, 1992)
- Multilingual assembly instructions with painting guide
