The Fuji T-1 was postwar Japan's first indigenously designed jet aircraft, a two seat intermediate trainer that first flew in 1958 and served the Japan Air Self-Defense Force for decades. Its swept wing layout owed much to the North American F-86 Sabre, and the T-1A was the version powered by a British Bristol Orpheus turbojet. This is a vintage Hasegawa kit with raised panel lines.
