Description
HASJS-088 - Hasegawa 1/72 Beechcraft T-34A Mentor - WWHP111645
Preowned, Resealed, Mint, Writing on box (view photo)
The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor was a piston-engine primary trainer derived from the Beech Bonanza light aircraft, widely used by the U.S. military and exported and licence-built around the world — including service with the Japan Air Self-Defence Force, which this boxing depicts. Rugged and pleasant to fly, the Mentor had a long training career. This is Hasegawa's original tooling (kit JS-088, series 1), a kit first tooled in 1973.
Box contents:
- Silver-moulded plastic sprues (73 parts)
- Clear parts (canopy)
- Ground tow tractor/tug (included on this issue)
- Waterslide decal sheet (multiple JASDF options)
- Printed assembly + marking instructions
Marking options: several JASDF schemes — Air Rescue Group (overall silver, "61-0406"), 11th and 12th Training Groups (fluoro orange / silver), and others per the period decal sheet. Requires cement and paint. The box notes "Easy-to-Assemble"; a small, pleasant build, with the bonus tow tractor adding a diorama touch.
