Description
FPJ101 - Farpro Japan 1/72 WWII Japanese Navy Fighter Mitsubishi A7M2 Reppu (SAM) - WWWEB10114276
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Mitsubishi A7M Reppu (Allied code name "Sam") was designed by Jiro Horikoshi's team as the successor to the Zero, with a laminar-flow wing and the power to match late-war Allied fighters. Engine disputes, the 1944 Tokai earthquake, and B-29 raids on Mitsubishi's plants limited production to a handful of airframes, and the war ended before the type reached an operational unit. The A7M2 with the Mitsubishi Ha-43 radial showed performance fully competitive with the Hellcat and Mustang in trials.
This is the vintage Farpro Japan export boxing, kit No.101 in the distinctive line-art green series alongside the Saiun (103) and Shiun (104) also in stock. The folding-wing frontal view on the box art highlights the Reppu's carrier heritage.
Box contents:
