Description
DP-AIRA05133A - Airfix 1/48 Curtiss Tomahawk Mk.II(Box Damaged)
*BOX DAMAGE KIT Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Curtiss Tomahawk Mk.II was the RAF and Commonwealth designation for the P-40B/C, supplied to Britain under early war procurement and used primarily in the North African and Middle Eastern theatres from 1941 onward. The type is best known for its service with No. 112 Squadron RAF, whose pilots originated the now-iconic shark mouth nose art that became synonymous with P-40 variants worldwide. Though outclassed in performance by contemporary Axis fighters at altitude, the Tomahawk proved effective in the ground attack and low-level air superiority roles over the Western Desert.
