The Westland Lynx AH-7 was the British Army Air Corps' primary battlefield helicopter from the 1970s through to its retirement in 2015, used extensively in anti-tank, reconnaissance, and utility roles. It saw active service in Northern Ireland, the Falklands, the Gulf War, Bosnia, and Afghanistan, proving a versatile and agile platform throughout its long service life. The AH-7 designation covered the upgraded variant fitted with composite rotor blades that significantly improved performance.
