Chuck Etchells made drag racing history at Topeka, Kansas on October 1, 1993, when his Kendall GT-1 Dodge Avenger became the first funny car to run under five seconds, with a 4.987 second pass. By the end of 1994 he had six career NHRA national event wins, and for 1995 he brought back crew chief Tim Richards to make another run at the championship. Revell-Monogram released this 1995 kit of his Kendall, Superwinch and Lubrimatic sponsored Avenger.
