The post-war "Universal Tank" concept derived from the 1944 A45 Infantry Support Tank concept, designed to have the mobility of a cruiser combined with the protection and firepower of a heavy tank. The definitive FV214 was built in 1955 and armed with a 120mm gun, developed specifically to respond to the Soviet IS-3. The Mk.I was the first production version, with only 20 units produced — making this a genuinely rare and niche Cold War subject with limited kit competition.

• Five sprues across separate bags: tracks, running gear, hull detail parts, hull top parts, and turret parts 
• Small photoetch fret, decal sheet, and a bag of 8 metal springs for optional working suspension (plastic moulded suspension also included as an alternative)
• Instruction booklet with three-direction colour painting and decal placement guide
• No tow cable included — fabric mantlet cover also not replicated
• Glue and paint not included
