AMO3201 - Amodel 1/32 Nieuport 16C - WWHP113730
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Nieuport 16 was a more powerful development of the little Nieuport 11 “Bébé”. It used the 110 hp Le Rhône 9J rotary in the same small sesquiplane airframe. It was also one of the first aircraft to carry Le Prieur rockets, which were fired from the interplane struts at observation balloons and airships. The Royal Flying Corps and the French, Italian and Russian air services all flew it. Britain’s Albert Ball scored many of his early victories in Nieuports in 1916, including A134, which carried a Lewis gun on the upper wing.
