MATPK-9 - Matchbox 1/72 Bell Huey-Cobra - WWHP111702
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
One of the original 1972 launch kits from the Matchbox range, ©1972 Lesney Products, Made in England. A simple, satisfying build in Matchbox's signature two-colour plastic, with the choice of US Army or US Marine Corps versions. Decals and colour plans for two aircraft: a US Army machine of the 235th Attack Helicopter Flight, and a USMC Cobra, with Matchbox's full-colour Paint Plan and simpler Mini-Paint Plan included.
The AH-1G HueyCobra was the world's first purpose-built attack helicopter, pairing the Huey's proven engine and dynamics with a slim tandem-seat gunship fuselage. Rushed into service in 1967, it flew escort, fire support, and hunter-killer missions throughout the Vietnam War and established the configuration every attack helicopter since has followed.
