The Panzerkampfwagen IV was the most widely produced German tank of WWII, with over 8,800 built between 1936 and 1945. The only German tank in continuous production throughout the war, it served on every front from North Africa to the Eastern Front, evolving through multiple variants from infantry support to the up-gunned Ausf. F2 and H as an effective counter to Allied armour.
