Preowned, Resealed, Mint
Mid-1970s Series 2 issue of Airfix's 1962 Anson Mk.I tooling, Made in England, in the green-logo box of that era. Box art depicts N9742 / MW-Y of No. 321 (Dutch) Squadron, the unit of escaped Dutch naval aviators flying coastal patrols from RAF St. Eval in 1940. Builds the classic early Anson with dorsal turret and extensive glazing.
The Avro Anson was the most-produced Avro aircraft of all time, over 11,000 built. It opened the war flying maritime reconnaissance with Coastal Command, then became the backbone of Commonwealth aircrew training, with thousands of navigators, bomb aimers, and wireless operators earning their wings on Ansons at schools across Canada under the BCATP.
