Description

ACC5003 - Accurate Miniatures 1/24 McLaren M8B - WWWEB10112257

Preowned, Resealed, Mint

The McLaren M8B was the dominant Can-Am machine of 1969, with the works team cars of Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme sweeping the season championship. Lothar Motschenbacher ran a privateer M8B in 1970 — an updated version of the factory 1969 car — in his distinctive red livery with car number 11, campaigning it competitively against the new factory M8D entries throughout the season. The McLaren M8 series represented the apex of North American road racing in the late 1960s and early 1970s, with big-block Chevrolet V8 power in a lightweight fibreglass and aluminium chassis producing a power-to-weight ratio that was essentially unrestricted.

Box Contents:

  • Red and black plastic sprues — full car body with removable bodywork panels, detailed Chevrolet V8 engine, chassis, suspension, cockpit, and aerodynamic components including large rear wing
  • Rubber racing tyres (Goodyear)
  • Waterslide decal sheet — Motschenbacher 1970 Can-Am livery, car no. 11
  • Instruction sheet

Kit Features: Removable body sections revealing fully detailed engine and chassis; highly detailed cockpit with driver figure.

Decal Options: Lothar Motschenbacher 1970 Can-Am (single scheme, car no. 11)
