ACC5000 - Accurate Miniatures 1/24 Corvette Grand Sport Sebring 1964 - WWHP111440
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport was a secret factory racing programme initiated by chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov in 1962, intended to produce 125 lightweight race-prepared Corvettes to take on the Shelby Cobras and international competition. Only five were ever built before GM management shut the programme down. Armed with a 377ci small-block fed by Weber side-draft carburetors producing around 550hp, the Grand Sports debuted to great effect at Nassau in late 1963 before three cars were entered at the 1964 Sebring 12 Hours. This kit represents Grand Sport #2, entered by the Mecom Racing team and driven by A.J. Foyt and John Cannon at that race.
Original 1995 Accurate Miniatures tooling — one of only five 1/24 car kits the company produced before closing. Widely regarded as the finest Corvette kit ever released in injection-moulded plastic.
