Vallejo Model Air — IJA Dark Green

Subject: Aircraft

Imperial Japanese Army dark green — upper surface from 1943–1945. Ki-61-I Hien (all variants), Ki-84-Ia/Ib Hayate, Ki-100-Ib, Ki-102 August. The defining late-war IJA fighter colour, replacing earlier brown-beige schemes from mid-1943.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
