Description

TRP02262 - Trumpeter 1/32 P-47D Thunderbolt Razorback - WWWEB10112376

Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn

The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was the heaviest single-engine fighter of the Second World War and, with more than 15,000 built, the most produced American fighter of the conflict. Powered by the mighty Pratt & Whitney R-2800, early D models kept the high “Razorback” spine before the switch to a bubble canopy, and the type excelled as both an escort fighter and a rugged ground attack aircraft. In the Southwest Pacific, Major William D. “Bill” Dunham of the 348th Fighter Group flew “Bonnie” on his way to becoming one of the unit’s top aces.

This example includes 1 aftermarket upgrade.

  • 17 sprues totalling 488 parts, including light grey, clear and black plastic
  • Clear engine cowling option for displaying the R-2800 detail
  • Rubber main and tail tires
  • Photo-etched fret and printed film instrument panel
  • Decal sheet for P-47D “Bonnie” flown by Major Bill Dunham, Southwest Pacific, 1943, with kill board, red and white striped tail, national insignia and full stencils
  • Instruction booklet with full colour painting and marking guide

Aftermarket:

  • 1 Squadron 9405 Crystal Clear vacuform canopy set for the Republic P-47D “Razorback” Thunderbolt
