The Vought AU-1 was a dedicated ground-attack version of the F4U Corsair, developed for the US Marine Corps and optimized for low-altitude close support with added armour and increased ordnance capacity. It entered service in 1952 and saw combat in the Korean War. This is the Testors reissue of the classic Hawk kit, a tooling that dates back to the 1950s.
