The Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate ("Gale"), Allied code-name "Frank," was one of the best Japanese Army fighters of the Second World War, combining a powerful Ha-45 radial engine with heavy armament and good performance. Introduced in 1944, it served over the Philippines, Okinawa, and in the defence of the Japanese home islands against American aircraft, with around 3,500 built. This is Tamiya's 1/48 scale kit.
