Description
TAM61039 - Tamiya - 1/48 Focke-Wulf FW190 F-8 - PREOWNED118623
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190F-8 was the definitive ground-attack variant of the Fw 190 series, stripped of the fighter's outboard wing cannon in favour of centreline and underwing bomb racks while retaining the BMW 801 radial engine. Entering service in 1943, the F-8 equipped the Schlachtgeschwader units operating on the Eastern and Italian fronts, flying close air support and anti-tank missions under increasingly difficult conditions through to the end of the war. Its low-level speed, rugged construction, and heavy armament made it one of the most effective ground-attack aircraft Germany produced.
Box Contents:
- Plastic sprues — fuselage halves, wings, BMW 801 radial engine, cockpit interior, undercarriage, bombs, and detail parts
