Preowned, Resealed, Parts off sprue
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the first production variant to enter RAF service in 1938, designed by Reginald Mitchell around the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and armed with eight .303 Browning machine guns. It served as a frontline fighter through the Battle of Britain in 1940, where its speed and elliptical wing made it a match for the Luftwaffe's Bf 109. It remains one of the most recognizable aircraft of the Second World War.
