Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Cromwell was the tank that finally gave British armoured regiments the speed their cruiser doctrine had always promised. The 600hp Rolls-Royce Meteor, a detuned Merlin, pushed it to around 40mph on roads, faster than anything else in Normandy, though the 75mm gun and riveted-then-welded hull left it outmatched by German armour in a straight fight. It equipped the reconnaissance regiments of most armoured divisions and served as the main tank of the 7th Armoured Division from D-Day through to the end of the war in Europe.
