The Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.D fitted with the schwerer Wurfrahmen 40 carried six side-mounted launch frames for 28cm and 32cm rockets, earning the nickname "Stuka zu Fuss" (Stuka on foot) for its devastating short-range bombardment role. The welded Ausf.D was the most-produced version of the Hanomag half-track, and the Wurfrahmen conversion let Panzergrenadier units deliver a saturation rocket strike without dedicated artillery. It is one of the more striking and popular half-track subjects.

This is a 1/35 scale injection-moulded plastic kit, Tamiya Military Miniature Series No. 151.
