TAM31909 - Tamiya 1/700 British E-Class Destroyer - WWHP111514
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The nine E-class destroyers — Exmouth, Echo, Eclipse, Electra, Encounter, Escapade, Escort, Esk, and Express — were completed in 1934 as part of Britain's interwar destroyer programme. Armed with four 4.7" guns and two quadruple torpedo tubes, they served extensively throughout WWII: Electra and Encounter escorted HMS Prince of Wales and Repulse on their final sortie; several participated in the hunt for Bismarck; and Echo and Encounter fought in the Battle of the Java Sea. By the end of the war the class had suffered heavy losses.
