Preowned, Resealed, Mint
USS Cushing (DD-797) was a late-production Fletcher-class destroyer completed in 1944, distinguished by her square-shaped bridge — offering greater visibility than early Fletchers — and significantly increased anti-aircraft armament reflecting lessons learned in Pacific combat. Armed with five 12.7cm guns, a quintuple 533mm torpedo launcher, five twin 40mm cannons, and seven 20mm cannons, she participated in the Taiwan attacks and Battle of Leyte Gulf. At the end of the war she entered Tokyo Bay with USS Missouri and witnessed the Japanese surrender.
