When the FIA introduced Group 5 silhouette racing in 1976, BMW answered with the 320. Built around the E21 shell but flared, widened and stripped back until little more than the outline remained, the Division II cars ran a 2.0 litre four-cylinder producing well north of 300 hp and were quick enough to trouble far larger machinery in the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft. Of all the liveries the 320 wore, none is more recognizable than Jägermeister orange with the stag's head on the nose, a colour scheme that has become shorthand for late-seventies German touring car racing.

Tamiya's 1/24 rendering captures the deep box arches, chin spoiler and rear wing of the Group 5 car, with a detailed cockpit and a decal sheet that carries the full orange scheme and sponsor markings.
