The Castrol Mugen NSX was Mugen Motorsports' 1998 JGTC GT500 challenger, based on the Honda NSX-R platform and prepared with an extensively revised aerodynamic package — refined front wing, added bumper fins, enlarged rear wing with sub-wings, and reshaped rear fenders. Power came from Mugen's 3.5-litre V6 DOHC, mounted 15mm lower than the standard layout to improve the centre of gravity. Driven by Ryo Michigami and Osamu Nakako under the distinctive white, green, and fluorescent Castrol colours. This is a "new parts" rebox of Tamiya's Honda NSX tooling (original kit 24100), issued in 1998 with updated body parts for the 1998 Mugen aerodynamic specification.
