The Porsche 911 GT1 was a purpose-built GT1 class endurance racer developed from the 911 platform for the 1996 and 1997 Le Mans 24 Hours, featuring a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged flat-six engine — a radical departure from the standard rear-engined 911 layout. The car achieved outright victory at Le Mans in 1998 with the evolved GT1-98 variant, one of the most celebrated results in Porsche's long Le Mans history. This kit depicts car number 25 from the 1996 Le Mans campaign in the iconic Mobil 1 splash livery driven by Thierry Boutsen, Hans-Joachim Stuck, and Bob Wollek.
